HeartFirst Hero for December

Maribel Valles

Maribel Valles has been selected as the HeartFirst Hero of the Month for December 2010.   Maribel has 12 years of experience as a medical assistant in cardiology and has been with HeartFirst for 6 months. 

“Maribel always goes above and beyond in all aspects.  Her personality and smile can light up anyone’s day,” said one of her co-workers.  Another employee commented, “Maribel is always willing to travel to all clinics and perform multiple duties in clinic or testing.”  The day to day routines of clinic can be challenging so the staff rely on each other to keep up the pace and insure things run as smoothly as possible.   “Maribel changed her schedule when asked to come in early and accommodate a fireman’s annual stress test,” said one of her peers.  “She is a wonderful asset to our office.”

Originally from Eagle Pass, Maribel has been in the North Texas area for more than 20 years.  Maribel is a proud mother and grandmother.  She has 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl, and 3 grandchildren.
