Blood Tests

The following blood tests help us identify patients who are at increased risk for a stroke or heart attack. These tests identify genetic abnormalities of lipids.

• Liposcience (particle number) – A step beyond LDL & HDL
• HsCRP - Excellent marker of inflamation of the arteries (read about the “Jupiter Trial” for more information)
• LP(a) – Underdiagnosed, but common genetic abnormality leading to Heart Attack and Stroke
