May 2011 Hero of the Month
Michelle McCarley, RN, ACNP-BC
The employees of HeartFirst have elected Michelle McCarley as the Hero of the Month for May 2011. Michelle has been with HeartFirst for 1 year. Prior to HeartFirst, Michelle was a registered nurse in a cardiac ICU unit for 4 years. At that time she was involved with training and teaching others for their ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. Currently, Michelle is training to join the Heart Failure Clinic and will be going to Seattle this month for a heart failure conference.

She is always enthusiastic and brings laughter and joy to the day,” said one of her peers. “Patients love Michelle’s cheerful, warm and outgoing manner.” It was not difficult to find similar comments over and over again. “Michelle is an asset to the HeartFirst family. Her contagious smile and calm demeanor always help.” “I love working with Michelle. Any time we have a question or need help, she is available.”
