May 2010 Hero of the Month

Elizabeth Trejo is our Hero for the Month of May. Elizabeth is a Medical Assistant (MA), and has been with HeartFirst for 2 years and in the medical field for 4 years.

She obtained her MA training at Southeastern Career Institute. Elizabeth is a local girl who grew up in Farmers Branch. Her co-workers had many great things to say about her, but here are just a few of those comments. “Elizabeth is an over-the-top employee who never gets her feather ruffled. She is amazing! She always goes above and beyond for patients and peers. She pays attention to important clinical details and communicates well with patients. Most importantly though, she is a critical thinker in the clinic. Elizabeth has emerged as a leader in the clinic, helping others, including training new staff.” Patients frequently mention her warm smile and soft approach.
